Before you begin
Make sure the content page has already been created in the Content Management System under Pages. Once the page exists, it can be connected to your Guest App through the app menu.
Open the Apps area
Note: In this example we are applying pages to the web-based Guest App, called the Portal.
In the Altitude dashboard, open the Administration menu.
Select Apps.
Locate the Guest App or Portal (this is the web based guest app).
Select Guest App or Portal.
To view your portal on your web browser, you can copy the portal URL from the screen and paste into your web browser.
To view in mobile format, press F12 on your keyboard and select the mobile icon on the rop right of the developer menu.
Open the portal menu configuration
Next to the Portal, select Manage.
Choose Menus.
Locate the Dashboard menu.
Menus may display different states depending on the guest journey. For example, the No Reservation state controls what guests see before they check in.
Add a new content tile
In the dashboard menu, select Edit.
Click Add Item.
Choose the Section where the tile should appear.
Sections act as headings and group content on the guest dashboard. Ensure you create your Sections before you add content, you can update these at any time.
Upload the tile image
Upload the tile image that guests will see.
This image should be created in advance using a design tool such as Canva or Adobe.
Drag and drop the image into the upload area.
You can also define the display order to control where the tile appears within the section.
Select the target type
Next, choose where the tile will take the guest when selected.
Available target types include:
Page β links to a page created in the Content Management System
URL β directs the guest to an external website
Function β opens built in features such as the Compendium, Local Events, or Contact options
To link to your content page:
Select Page as the target type.
Scroll through the list and choose the page you created.
Save and review in the portal
Once the item is saved:
Open the Portal URL in your browser.
Refresh the page.
The new tile will now appear on the guest dashboard.
Selecting the tile will open the page you linked.
Editing tiles later
Tiles can be updated at any time. You can:
Change the image
Adjust the display order
Update the linked page, URL, or function
Move the tile to a different section
Remove from the dashboard
After making changes, simply refresh the portal to see the updates immediately.
