This guide covers adding multilingual FAQs to your bot’s knowledge base and editing language-specific responses within each FAQ tab.

Updated over 8 months ago

To setup your Bot’s languages:

  1. Go to Setup > Chatbot > Configuration

  2. Select the "Bot Languages" tab

Add languages you would like to accept into the 'Accept Languages' box. The bot can respond in these languages when guests ask questions.

Set your default languages in the 'Default Languages' box.The bot uses this language if a guest's language isn't in the accepted list.

After adding your accepted languages, you can customise specific FAQ's (intents) in your bot's knowledge base.

Each FAQ has language-specifc tabs for refining responses. To view or edit these responses, select the relevant FAQ or intent, and navigate though the language tabsto ensure each response is accurate and aligned with your preferred messaging.

After adding responses, click “Sync Knowledge” to update the bot.

Please note:

  • If an response isn't available in a specific language, the bot will try to translate its response from your default language.

  • Automatic Knowledge documents can be kept in your language. When responding, the bot will try to translate them into the guest’s language.
