Setup an External Key Encoder

Learn how to set up an external key encoder for Altitude's Self-Service Kiosk.

This article is for setting a Key Provider (e.g. Assa Abloy) supplied encoder to the Self-Service Kiosk App. To connect to a dispenser please contact Support.

Setting up the Kiosk

This guide assumes you have already setup the Encoder within Altitude.

When on the main screen of the app, tap and hold the screen, this will bring up the Staff PIN screen.

Input your Initial and PIN then tap "Ok", you will be presented with the following pop-up menu:

Tap "Admin" to display the Admin screen, go to the "Key Encoder" section:

Select the "Device Type" section and choose "Key Provider Encoder", then go Back

Tap Encoder which will then bring up a list of the encoders within the Property.

Tap the required Encoder, then tap to go Back (Please note: Encoders with (Kiosk) are selected as Kiosk only encoders within Altitude and wont show to staff for back-office operations)

Once returned tap "Save":

If there is no printer requirement ensure that Controller and Printer are both turned off as they are not required.
