Self-Service Kiosk Alerts and Errors

Check on and resolve alerts and errors that may present on Altitude's Self-Service Kiosk.

When the kiosk app determines there is a problem which may block a check-in or key pickup it will lock the device from performing those actions. These can be viewed in Altitude Cloud or App.

Error codes

Possible error codes displayed on the left include:

Controller error

This will occur when the tablet cannot access the controller. The possible resolution options include:

  1. Verify the tablet has a WiFi connection

  2. Access the admin interface and confirm there is a Key Encoder setup (not set to demo mode)

No key encoder found

This will occur when the controller does not have access to the encoder. The possible resolution options include:

  1. Check the power connection of the power supply for the Encoder

  2. Check the USB cables are connected between the Encoder and the Controller

No box loaded

This will occur when the Card Box has been removed and not replaced. Please replace the card box (the box which holds the RFID cards that slots into the encoder)

No cards left

In the event there are no cards left to encode please replace the cards within the Card Box

Printer error

If printing is enabled and there is an error please restart the printer.

Key card encoding is in test mode

When the encoder is in test mode the keys that are encoded will not work on any doors. Do not use this in any live environment as the keys will not work on the doors.
