Self-Service Kiosk Device Administration

Access the Kiosk's administration features to refresh, check logs, lock, logout and more on your kiosk.

When on the main screen of the app, tap and hold the screen, this will bring up the Staff PIN screen.

Your team must have the "Kiosk State and Admin Manager" permission to access these settings.​

Input your Initial and PIN then tap "Ok", you will be presented with the following pop-up menu:

The possible options include:

Refresh

Refreshes the Kiosk config manually where a change has been made and a push to refresh has not occurred.

Admin

Loads up the Kiosk administration panel. Find out more below.

Debug Logs

Debug logs are used when the app is not performing as expected and the logs may need to be sent to Altitude Support.

Lock

This will lock the device from being used and resume any standby images.

The device can be unlocked by tapping and holding the screen from the lock screen and tapping "Unlock". It can also be unlocked from the Kiosk Manager UI on Altitude Cloud and the Altitude Admin phone and tablet app.

Logout

After confirming you wish to logout the device will be logged out and returned to the device connect screen. It will need to be added back into the Altitude Account by a Kiosk Admin on Altitude Cloud.

Cancel

This will close the popup menu, returning the Kiosk back to normal.

Administration Panel

Upon accessing of the Admin panel the below screen will be displayed.

It has three sections on the left.

Last Refresh

The last time the Kiosk configuration was refreshed from the server. Tap it to refresh again.

Controller Monitoring

When enabled the tablet will send the state of the Controller and hardware to Altitude Cloud for reporting of its state and alerts.

To receive email alerts the Alerting and Email addresses must be inputted on the Kiosk Setup page in Altitude Cloud

Controller Polling

Set how often the controller will be polled for its status, default is 30 seconds.

Last Status Check

The last time the controller was checked for its status

Block Kiosk on Controller Error

If enabled the Kiosk App will be blocked from Check-in and Key Pickup if the hardware has issues (e.g. cannot encode cards), see more here

Enable Debug Logs

Ability to disable the Debug Log options

Key Encoder

When setting up or managing the key encoder use the "Refresh" and "Test" options to confirm the key encoder is connected.

Tap "Run Test" to test the card ejecting works after replacing the Card Box.
